Govt urged to examine porn access by kids

The federal government has been urged to commission research into the exposure of children to online pornography.

A parliamentary committee has recommended the federal government commission research into how Australian children are being exposed to online pornography.

The Senate inquiry report into child access to online pornography on Wednesday recommends the government form an expert advisory panel to see whether policies are required to tackle the issue.

It's also urged state and territory governments to consider the adequacy of current policies, after the inquiry received evidence about child-on-child sexual abuse in schools.
