The last of three Al Jazeera English journalists who had been imprisoned in Egypt has left the country and arrived in Qatar, where the network is based.

Al Jazeera spokesman Hasan Salim Patel confirmed Baher Mohammed's arrival in the Qatari capital, Doha, on Wednesday. He says he is in the country for a temporary visit.

Some of Mohammed's colleagues posted pictures of his arrival on social media.

Mohammed, who is Egyptian, and Canadian colleague Mohamed Fahmy were released from prison after receiving a pardon from Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi in September. Fahmy previously announced on Twitter that he left Egypt last week.

Australian Peter Greste, who was arrested with Fahmy and Mohammed in December 2013, was deported from Egypt a year ago but has not been pardoned.
