Police confirmed 19 people have died and at least 59 were injured after at explosion at Ariana Grande's concert in Manchester.

US singer Ariana Grande was performing at Manchester Arena on Monday night when an explosion was heard about 10.30pm and emergency services were deployed to the concert.

Heavily armed police blocked off the area and escorted concertgoers from the venue, many of whom were young children accompanied by their parents.

Police are treating the blast as a terrorist incident.
