THE IPSWICH MAYORS AND CEOs MIRED IN A COUNCIL CORRUPTION SCANDAL

* Paul Pisasale

The 13-year mayor, who received more than 80 per cent of the vote at his last re-election, resigned in June 2017 citing his battle with MS but it came a day after his office was raided by the Crime and Corruption Commission, which charged him just two weeks later. He was also found with a bag carrying $50,000 in cash at Melbourne Airport a month earlier.

* Carl Wulff

The 65-year-old, a long-time council chief executive until he stood down in 2013, was charged by the CCC in October over allegations he corruptly received money between 2012 and 2014 and also for attempting to pervert justice in September 2017. His wife, Sharon Oxenbridge, 50, was also charged with corruption.

* Jim Lindsay

The council's next chief executive officer was charged last September on single counts each of disobedience to statute law and disclosure of a confidential document following a CCC investigation. He was suspended on full pay but then resigned in January.

* Andrew Antoniolli

The 47-year-old former policeman was elected mayor in August 2017 after running on a platform or transparency and integrity. He was charged by the CCC of seven counts of fraud on Wednesday for using council funds for his own purposes over five years until last year. He denied any involvement in corruption and defiantly said he wouldn't stand down.
