Man pours petrol at Melb police station

A man is in a Melbourne hospital after he allegedly poured petrol in the foyer of Frankston police station and threatened to set himself on fire.

A man is in hospital after he allegedly entered a Melbourne police station and threatened to set himself alight.

Victoria Police say they arrested the man on Thursday morning after he poured the fuel in the foyer of Frankston station.

Two CFA crews attended the incident, and an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman later confirmed one person was taken to Frankston Hospital in a stable condition.
