Meghan to give speech at wedding reception

Meghan Markle will give a speech at her wedding reception at Windsor Castle, where several hundred guests will enjoy canapes and the wedding cake.

The new Duchess of Sussex will make a speech at her wedding reception.

The royal bride is one of three people to speak at the lunchtime reception, hosted by the Queen.

The others are her new husband, Prince Harry, and the Prince of Wales.

The Duke of Cambridge, Harry's best man, will act as compere.

The reception will also include the cutting of the wedding cake.

The cake, designed by Claire Ptak, features an elderflower-flavoured light sponge cake uniquely formulated for the couple.

A filling made from Amalfi lemon curd and elderflower buttercream ties all the elements together.

Guests will also be served canapes, included Scottish langoustines , grilled asparagus and croquette of confit lamb.

Pol Roger champagne will be served, alongside soft drinks and elderflower cordial.
