The Australian Federal Police has won the right to hold an 18-year-old Sydney terror suspect for another 68 hours without charge following a court hearing.

The teenager, who was arrested in connection with investigations into 15-year-old Parramatta shooter Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar, was last week detained for an additional 100 hours without charge.
The fresh order allows the AFP to keep the 18-year-old in custody until Thursday.

The 18-year-old was arrested in Wentworthville on Wednesday following pre-dawn raids across Sydney's west after the fatal shooting of NSW police employee Curtis Cheng on October 2.

He had gone to the same school as Jabar, Arthur Phillip High School in Parramatta.

Three others were also arrested during the raids but all except the 18-year-old have been released without charge.
