News Corp chief financial officer Bedi A Singh will step down on March 1 and be replaced by Susan Panuccio, the current CFO of the organisation's Australian arm.

The Rupert Murdoch-led media giant says Mr Singh is leaving to pursue new opportunities, but will still advise the company on its digital interests in India and US real estate business.

Mr Murdoch said, in a statement, that Ms Panuccio's "superb work at News Corp Australia" made her the ideal successor to Mr Singh, who has been CFO since 2013.
