Vodafone has fixed the connectivity issues across its networks that left New Zealand customers with no internet access.

Customers from both islands were impacted by the overnight outage but Vodafone say they've resolved the problems on their fixed and mobile internet networks.

"Access to the internet and the use of apps on mobile devices should have returned to normal operation for these customers," Vodafone said in a statement on Thursday.

"We apologise for any inconvenience this has caused to our customers."

Many users took to social media to vent their frustrations about their lack of internet service and communication from the teleco.
