Rare white moose captured on video in Sweden

Footage of a rare white moose has emerged in Sweden.

Swedish councilor Hans Nilsson captured the animal in Eda after trying to spot the almost mythical-like creature for a number of years.

"This white elk bull is local to the area. I saw it the evening before too, that was the first time. On Friday evening when I shot the video everything fell into place, the location, the light and the calmness," Nilsson told Swedish publication The Local.

"It was an experience to meet such a stately animal up close."

According the The Independent experts estimate there are only about 100 white moose in Sweden, compared to over 400,000 of the more common breed.
