RSPCA seizes 20 dogs from Vic breeder

The RSPCA has seized more than 20 dogs and puppies from an illegal breeder in country Victoria.

More than 20 dogs and puppies have been seized from an illegal Victorian dog breeder following an investigation by the RSPCA.

The dogs were seized from a Ballarat property on Friday due to "immediate and serious concerns for the animals' welfare".

They've been moved to an RSPCA facility for immediate veterinary assessment and care.

The rescue on Friday is part of an ongoing operation in which 52 were dogs removed earlier this year after they were discovered by council staff in cages in a park outside Ballarat.
