Rudd wishes Clark well in UN race

Former prime minister Kevin Rudd, has wished Helen Clark well, in her bid to head up the United Nations.

Kevin Rudd has wished former New Zealand prime minister Helen Clark well in her bid to head up the United Nations.

The former Australian prime minister, who is also believed to be after the same job, said Ms Clark is a worthy candidate.

"I've worked closely with Helen as PM & at UN. Helen will be a strong UN (secretary general) candidate and I wish her well," he tweeted alongside a picture of the pair shaking hands.
