SBS World News Radio: South Korea's three main opposition parties have vowed to continue their push for the country's president to be impeached, characterising her offer to resign as a stalling tactic.

South Korean opposition maintains pressure on President to resign

President Park Geun-hye has been investigated over allegations of political and other influence by a close personal friend.

It's sparked public accusations of corruption and the National Assembly is due to discuss her possible impeachment later this week.

SBS reporter Katrina Yu is in the South Korean capital Seoul, following developments, and Kristina Kukolja asked her about the substance of the president's announcement.
