Stars to settle old Hurricanes BBL score

The Melbourne Stars must defeat a dominant Hobart Hurricanes side at Bellerive Oval to keep their dreams of a maiden BBL title alive.

Melbourne Stars skipper Glenn Maxwell hasn't played many BBL finals due to international duties, but he remembers his last semi-final against the Hobart Hurricanes all too well.

The undefeated Stars stormed to a home semi-final against the Hurricanes in BBL03 only to be bundled out, and Maxwell was keen to repay the favour against the ladder leaders on Thursday night in Hobart.

"That was a hard one to take for us. It's a bit of the reverse this time with Hobart being so dominant ... they'll probably go in with a little added pressure," Maxwell told reporters on Tuesday.
