A Texas man, 18, has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot and killed his three-year-old stepson for refusing to stop jumping on the bed.

The police will allege George Coty Wayman shot Dominic Tra'Juan Castro in the back of the head after warning him to stop jumping on the bed on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident too place in a trailer home in the village of Bellevue, near the Oklahoma border.

Wayman was arrested after the boy died on Wednesday morning.
The reported witnesses initially told police Dominic had landed on the gun, accidentally setting it off, but later changed their stories to implicate Wayman in the incident.

"Investigators interviewed eyewitnesses in the bedroom at the time of this incident and have determined that Wayman is the individual that pointed and discharged the handgun that caused the death of the victim," the Tribune reported the arrest warrant read.

Wayman's bail was set at $505,000, the Tribune reported.

The boy's biological father is reportedly in jail for multiple convictions.
