Two million households to finish census

Census field officers will be visiting households that haven't completed their forms yet over the coming weeks.

About two million households which have yet to complete their census forms are being urged to head online and finish the job.

More than seven million households have completed the forms but the Australian Bureau of Statistics is urging latecomers to do so immediately.

"Census forms are due," census head Duncan Young said in a statement on Friday.
