Video of kids crashing BBC interview goes viral

The professor featured in a BBC video interview that has since gone viral says he has been surprised by the reaction.

A BBC interview in which a professor was interrupted by his two children has gone viral.

Professor Robert Kelly, a Political Science expert at Pusan National University, was being interviewed on the BBC for his analysis on the impeachment of South Korea president Park Geun-hye, when he was interrupted. 

The Skype video interview got sidetracked when his two young children burst into the room. 

While Professor Kelly retains his composure for the most part, the first kid does take a stiff arm to the torso. But perhaps most impressive is the second child, a mere infant, who cowboys into the room in a baby walker.

The clip of the incident now been viewed more than 10 million times. Social media users described the video as the “funniest thing the BBC has ever broadcast”.

In response to a Twitter user commenting on the clip, Professor Kelly wrote: “Is this [the] kinda thing that goes ‘viral’ and gets weird?”

The interruption ends when a frantic woman appears to corral the wayward kids and desperately reaches to yank the door shut, bringing a quick end to the children's unexpected debut on international TV.
