New Zealand's Wellington District Police Force has released a video to wish their community a safe and Merry Christmas. 

In the video posted on their Facebook page, the police wear Santa hats and reindeer horns as they sing along to lyrics set to the tune of 1970s Christmas song Feliz Navidad.



Police, ambulance medics, firefighters and Tas the dog remind viewers to drive safely, drive sober, buckle up and watch the road.

The video has had over 490,000 views and been shared over 12,000 times



And it's not the force's first success story.

The New Zealand Police Force's recruitment team recently released a  designed to boost staff numbers, which went viral.
