SBS talks to Associate Professor Lisa Gibbs from the University of Melbourne, who carried out a study into the effects of the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009 in which 173 people died. She says it's important to take a long-term approach to disaster recovery as the mental health of those affected can be impacted for years afterwards.
