Clinton and Trump are out to catch 'em all.

It’s hard to stay relevant in a world teaming with zubats and charmanders, but you can’t blame the US presidential hopefuls for trying.

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump have stepped onto the Pokemon GO bandwagon – albeit a couple weeks late – and are employing youth-targeted tactics in the hopes of leveraging the app’s immense popularity to capture a couple more votes.

Clinton was the first to try and throw the American public a lure, joking to the audience on a campaign stop in Virginia that:

“I don’t know who created Pokemon GO, but I’m trying to figure out how we get them to have Pokemon GO…to the polls.”

Not one to be outdone for long, Trump quickly followed suit, seeing her joke and raising his rival a Facebook video.
In it, he simulates the game’s app but changes the name to “Crook’ed Hillary NO”. An image of the democratic nominee appears with a pokeball poised to catch her, only to reveal a profile that reads: “Often found lying to the American people, rigging the system and sharing TOP SECRET emails. Next Evolution: Unemployed”.

It remains to be seen whether voters have had a chance to look up from their smart phone screens to care.
