After a decade living in Australia, 12000 asylum seekers remain in limbo

As the Federal government announced a pathway to permanency for 19,000 refugees, another 12,000 remain in limbo. Political pressure is mounting for Labor to abolish the scheme that rejected them, and to establish new immigration assessment authority.
