Budget airline Bonza collapses after only a year in operation

After just over a year in operation, budget airline Bonza has collapsed into voluntary administration, leaving travellers stranded. With cancellations across the country, larger competitors have stepped in, offering free flights to get Australians home. Bonza joins Compass, Tiger, Impulse and Ansett as airline failures. Bonza previously blamed problems like pilot shortages, but some analysts say its operating model was doomed.
