Hidden fees, 'dodgy' pricing tactics face government ban

The Albanese government is doubling down on measures aimed at preventing businesses from 'ripping off' Australians. So-called 'dodgy' pricing tactics, like hidden fees and hard to cancel subscriptions, are in the prime minister's crosshairs today. Gyms, airlines, online retailers, and ticketing companies taking centre stage, as the government looks to stamp out annoying and potentially harmful practices, not already forbidden under consumer law.
