The world marks 20 years since the deadliest tsunami in recorded history

On December 26th 2004, a 9.1 magnitude undersea earthquake struck 240km off the coast of the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The following tsunami brought widespread devastation, wiping out entire communities in Asia and impacting coastal areas as far away as East Africa. SBS Asia Correspondent Aaron Fernandes travelled to Indonesia's Banda Aceh, to meet with those who survived.
