NITV children's programs are up for nominations at the 2025 AACTA Awards

NITV children’s programs Eddie’s Lil Homies and Little J & Big Cuz are both up for nominations for Best Children's program.

Eddie's Lil Homies is a ten-episode animated children's comedy centreing the Indigenous experience.

SBS and NITV have received 11 nominations for the 2025 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group.

To be held on the Gold Coast in February 2025, in recognition and celebration of Australia's highest achievements in film and television, the AACTA Awards present over 50 awards across two major ceremonies.

NITV children’s programs Eddie’s Lil Homies and Little J & Big Cuz are both up for nominations for the AACTA Award for Best Children's program.

Eddie's Lil Homies

The show was made in collaboration with the AFL legend Eddie Betts.

Inspired by books from former AFL star Eddie Betts, Eddie's Lil Homies is a 10-part series starring the voice talents of Hunter Page-Lochard as Eddie, Miah Madden as Lottie, Andrew Dang as Tal and Billy Betts (Eddie Betts’ eight-year-old son) as Junior.

Eddie’s Lil’ Homies joins Eddie and his ragtag group of friends on their playground adventures as they navigate the fun and challenges of friendship. Outside of home and away from school, their friends are family and the playground is their universe.

The new season of Little J & Big Cuz is set to bring even more wonder and adventure as Little J (Miranda Tapsell), Big Cuz (Deborah Mailman), Nanna (Ursula Yovich) and Old Dog (Aaron Fa’Aoso) continue to explore their world and themselves – in the backyard, the classroom or on Country.

Drawing on stories from First Nations writers all over Australia, including Shari Sebbens (Sissy & B Boy), Mark Coles Smith (Uncle Mick), Renee Lim (Ms Chen), Miah Madden (Monti), Shakira Clanton (Mirra & Kirra), Katie Beckett (George & Jacko) and Kylie Bracknell (Ally), the series continues to offer a proud and positive view of Indigenous Australia.
