The family of an indigenous man who died in an Adelaide jail after a violent altercation with prison guards will give evidence to a committee.

Caroline Andersen and Latoya Rule, the mother and sister of Wayne Morrison who died in custody in September, will address the South Australian parliamentary select committee on the Administration of SA's Prisons.

Opposition correctional services spokesman Stephan Knoll says a coronial inquest into Mr Morrison's death must be completed to give his family closure.
