Jai 'Malachi' Gray was last seen by his family on Wednesday May 29 at his home in Morayfield, North Brisbane.

The body of the 25-year-old was found at an abandoned quarry north of Brisbane on Tuesday.

Police allege that a 19-year-old man and 22-year-old man lured Mr Gray to a Glass House Mountains quarry and stabbed him to death.

Both men have been charged with murder and interfering with a corpse.

Police Detective Inspector David Harbison labelled the murder as 'callous, brutal and unprovoked'.

Mr Gray's family posted on social media, expressing their grief.

“Please, take this moment to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you," they wrote.

"Hug them a little tighter, listen a little longer, be present, say ‘I love you,’ take countless pictures together, and cherish every second.”
