Rodriguez, Falcao headline Colombia squad for Socceroos clash

Colombia has named a near full strength squad ahead of its clash with the Socceroos at Craven Cottage in London.

Bayern Munich star James Rodrigues and Monaco striker Radamel Falcao headline La Tricolor’s thirty player squad for the March 27 match and a clash with France on March 23.

Socceroos shot stopper Mat Ryan will come up against Brighton teammate Jose Izquierdo who has been recalled to Colombia’s national team for the first time in eight months.
The biggest omission for Colombia is Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado who is still fighting back from a serious groin injury which has sidelined the former Chelsea and Fiorentina star since December.

Cuadrado’s absence shouldn’t weaken Jose Pekerman’s side too much with Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez, Arsenal’s David Ospina, Sevilla’s Luis Muriel, Villarreal striker Carlos Bacca and new Barcelona signing Yerry Mina all fighting for starting positions in the star studded squad.

The match will be the second of two World Cup warm up games for the Socceroos with Bert van Marwijk’s squad also set to take on Norway in Oslo on March 23.

Colombia Squad:

Cristian Zapata (AC Milan), Duvan Zapata (Sampdoria), David Ospina (Arsenal), Jose Izquierdo (Brighton & Hove Albion), Davison Sanchez (Tottenham), James Rodriguez (Bayern Munich), Carlos Sanchez (Espanyol), Carlos Bacca (Villareal), Jefferson Lerma (Levante), Yerry Mina (Barcelona), Johan Mojica (Girona), Bernardo Espinosa (Girona), Luis Fernando Muriel (Sevilla), Radamel Falcao (AS Monaco), Santiago Arias (PSV Eindhoven), Giovanni Moreno (Shanghai Shenhua), Oscar Murillo (Pachuca), Mateus Uribe (America), Frank Fabra (Boca Juniors), Wilmar Barrios (Boca Juniors), Juan Quintero (River Plate), Miguel Borja (Palmeiras), Abel Aguilar (Dep.
