A same-sex couple got engaged on stage at Adele's Melbourne concert last night

Last night marked Adele's last show on her major Australian stadium tour, where she thrilled a packed Etihad Stadium in Melbourne.

The singer normally places some signed letters on some of the seats at each show as a surprise gift for lucky fans, but says she fell asleep exhausted before yesterday's show, and didn't get around the signing the gifts.

So, to make up for it, she decided to surprise some fans by bringing them up on stage.

Adele says she saw Chris burst into tears when she opened with her hit 'Hello', so she grabbed him and his partner Wade and brought them up on stage with her. Little did she know that Wade was planning to propose to Chris - and he did it right there on stage, in front of 77,000 people.

A shellshocked Chris, who is visibly shaking in the footage, obviously said yes. He confirmed his acceptance to Adele, through the deafening cheers of the audience.

Adele, who is standing right next to the couple as the proposal happens, is beaming from ear-to-ear and hugs both of the men multiple times afterwards, telling the audience, "I had no idea that was going to happen, that wasn't planned!"
BLESS.
