In a year that's been okay at best it seems to make sense that the Hindi and Urdu word for OK, to the Cambridge dictionary. Though if you were going to get technical about it, you would never use accha to say something was okay or decidedly average. You would use it more as a term of agreement - as in, 'want to check out a film?' And the response would be 'accha'.

As  further clarifies, accha can also be used as a term of surprise. As in, 'did you know accha made it into the Cambridge dictionary?' And many social media users are responding with a "accha"?!
Many wondered if Cambridge dictionary had taken into regard the varied nuances of the word.
As some pointed out "accha" is often used sarcastically.
Twitter user wasn't sure if 'accha' was even the best word to have made it into the dictionary, suggesting instead 'ajeeb' meaning 'strange.'
But for the most part, people have found the addition of the word into the dictionary as just a bit of fun.
