Look, it's a well-documented fact that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a diehard fan of RuPaul's Drag Race.

She has live-streamed about being heartbroken over eliminations (hi Nina West), she has rocked up to across the United States - including a .

And now she'll be appearing on the show's new season as a guest judge - a move that has .

"This was absolutely, 100 per cent a peak experience," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted last week, sharing a relatively patriotic trailer she features in, in which she pledges her "allegiance to the drag".

She added: "I am SO excited for the new season. Thank you for having me!"
When a supporter of Ocasio-Cortez pointed out how frazzled right-wing commentators were by her appearance on the popular reality TV program, the politician and activist pulled out a great Drag Race fan reference.
