If you ever mention Princess Diana to my mother she will look back at you misty eyed. "She was so wonderful," she would say, followed quickly by, "gone too soon". You see, Diana has held a special place in not only my mother's heart but many Pakistanis like her due to the Royal's fondness for the country and its people.
The popular Instagram account recently took its followers on a brief trip down memory lane by showing vintage photos of Diana's visits to Pakistan - something she did three times in her lifetime - in 1991, 1996 and 1997.
The reason for all this Diana nostalgia is because season four of The Crown has brought her story back into the limelight. For many viewers it was the first time they got a look at the fairytale that for Diana at least, went .
On the show, we are first introduced to Diana as a teenager who spots Prince Charles when he visits her home to take her older sister Sarah out for a date. But Charles very quickly moves on from Lady Sarah Spencer and becomes intrigued by her younger sibling Diana. Many of us know how the story goes from there.
But it's the love affair that Diana had with Pakistan that viewers from a Pakistani background and beyond are clinging to.
And it seems like my mum isn't the only one still holding a special place for Diana in her heart, as Twitter user Simran found out when looking through her mum's YouTube browsing history.
But why all the love for Diana from the people of Pakistan? For many, much of Diana's charm came because she put Royal protocol aside and gave people - no matter where they were from - her love and attention. Whether this meant hanging out with kids from a Pakistani orphanage or as he battled with cancer, Diana truly lived up to her moniker as the "People's Princess".
On the fashion side of things, people also loved that Diana wore the traditional Pakistani outfit of shalwar and kameez during her visits. Something her future daughter-in-law Kate Middleton channelled when she visited Pakistan.
The real reason for why Diana showed Pakistan and its people special attention however, was much more personal. According to close friend and confidant Jemima Goldsmith - the ex-wife of current Pakistani Prime Minister - Diana was with British-Pakistani heart surgeon Hasnat Khan, so much so that she "wanted to marry him, even if that meant living in Pakistan."
Unfortunately this was not to be. Three months after Diana's last visit to Pakistan she was in Paris.
The Crown however, is helping many who lived through the Diana years to revive her memory. This includes friends like Jemima Goldsmith who recently tweeted that the show makes us "fall in love with Princess Diana all over again."
Whether you're falling in love with Diana for the first time because of The Crown or never let her memory fade away, it's hard to deny that she still means a lot to many people all over the world, including Pakistanis.
And if this Pakistani truck art doesn't tell you all you need to know about the depth of the love the people of Pakistan have for her, nothing will. "Love for everyone," the artist inscribed in Urdu next to the image of the Princess, "hate for no one."
