If the reports are true, Beyoncé is about to make history by taking the helm of Vogue magazine's forthcoming September Issue.

According to reports from , Anna Wintour, longtime editor-in-chief of the iconic fashion magazine, has granted Beyoncé unprecedented control over her cover and cover story, including "the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions, which she has written herself and are in long-form".
The cover image will be photographed by 23-year-old photographer Tyler Mitchell, who will become the first black photographer to shoot a Vogue magazine cover in the United States.

“The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment,” a source told .
Last year Mitchell, who has previously shot campaigns for Marc Jacobs and Givenchy, told that he depicts “black people and people of color in a really real and pure way."

He added: “There is an honest gaze to my photos.”

It is also rumoured this will be Wintour's last September Issue as editor-in-chief.
