Britney Spears lands movie deal for 'Once Upon a One More Time'

The film will tell the story of classic princesses including Snow White and Cinderella, who start a book club and discover feminism.

It was recently revealed that Britney Spears' iconic discography will be adapted for the stage, with jukebox musical Once Upon a One More Time slated for a run on Broadway early 2020.

Now, according to , the modern feminist fairy-tale has been snapped up for a big screen adaptation - before the stage production has even launched.

The exciting news come amid that Britney Spears is being held against her will in a psychiatric institution, with fans railing around the star with a .

Sony Pictures has reportedly won the rights for the film, which will depict classic princesses including Snow White and Cinderella start a book club and discover feminism.
The musical's synopsis reads: "Once Upon a Time … Cinderella, Snow White, and the other fairytale princesses gather for their book club, when — oh, baby, baby! — a rogue fairy godmother drops The Feminine Mystique into their corseted laps, spurring a royal revelation."

Spears previously said she was excited about the project.

"I’m so excited to have a musical with my songs - especially one that takes place in such a magical world filled with characters that I grew up on, who I love and adore," she said in a statement.

The movie will be produced by John Davis as well as Spears and her manager, Larry Rudolph.
