Caitlyn Jenner has announced that she no longer supports US President Donald Trump, writing an op-ed for the in which she slams Trump's administration for their proposed restriction of gender terms to a person's sex at birth.

“Believing that I could work with Trump and his administration to support our community was a mistake,” she wrote.

She continued: “Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate to claim to support this valuable, vulnerable community, and I was encouraged by the applause he received when in July 2016 that he would stand up for the LGBTQ community."
Jenner, 68, has previously been s over her support of Donald Trump. This is her strongest rebuke of the U.S. President and his policies.

“This is politics at its worst. It is unacceptable, it is upsetting, and it has deeply, personally hurt me,” Jenner, a longtime Republican voter, added.

Jenner then expressed her desire to fight for positive change, saying that she's in a "unique position of privilege".

“I will still work with anyone who is committed to help our community,” she concluded.
