#DogsAtPollingStations is the best UK Election social media trend

We're not sure if the UK election has gone to the dogs, but the dogs have definitely gone to the polls this election.

People in the UK have turned out at polling stations around the land to cast their vote in the general election, and many have brought their dogs along.

Voters took to social media to share photos of their canine companions taking part in the democratic process.

#DogsAtPollingStations might just be the cutest social media trend to come out of the democratic process.
And it wasn't just dogs getting in on the action. Guinea pigs, rabbits, sheep, horses and chickens also came along to be counted.
