As far as feel-good content goes, this is tops.

A transgender man in Sao Paolo, Brazil, has been surprised by his family after returning home from gender-affirming surgery - and now the heartwarming video is going viral on social media, clocking up over 3 million views.

Following top surgery, Richard Alcântara was preparing to go shirtless in front of his family for the first time. Arriving home, he approaches a long line of the men in his family, who are standing with their backs turned to him.

As he gets closer, however, they turn around - revealing that they're all wearing bandages across their chests in a gesture of solidarity.

Alcântara was clearly overwhelmed, breaking down in tears as he embraced the men in his life.
Posting the video to , the man's girlfriend, Yuri Almeida, described Alcântara’s long journey to acceptance.

“A year ago he suffered because he was not accepted by his family, fearing rejection,” Almeida wrote in Portugese (translated to English by Facebook) on a post accompanying the moving video.

“He already tried to take his own life because of depression, but what he didn’t know is that everything has its time.”

Almeida added: “For those who think that these people lack God, they are wrong. They have more God in the heart than many people, they don’t need people to accept them, but need and deserve respect.

"We are who we are, no matter our colors, religions, opinions, or tastes.”

She continued: "This is a demonstration of unconditional love of a family with so much diversity, [who] always put love and union above all. And it's the family I'm grateful to be part of. Prejudice has no space where love and respect are present!"

Well, don't know about you, but our eyes are leaking.

According to , a visibly moved Alcântara described the surprise as "the most beautiful moment of my life."
