One of the most talked about films of the year has finally opened in Aussie cinemas with the arrival of "".

The film opened on Boxing Day after playing at film festivals throughout the year, but as the momentum builds for awards season, the film is getting more and more coverage.

Based on the novel of the same name by André Aciman, Call Me By Your Name stars Timothée Chalamet as Elio, a 17-year-old American living in Italy with his parents. His father invites a graduate student Oliver, played by Armie Hammer, to live with them during the summer of 1983.
During the summer Elio and Oliver begin to spend more time together as their friendship begins to evolve into romance. The film, directed by Luca Guadagnino, has received tons and tons of critical praise with a score of 97%.

The film hasn't been without criticism though, with some claiming it , as well as casting two .
