Laverne Cox announces mysterious collaboration with Beyoncé

Actress Laverne Cox has revealed that she’s working on a new project with Beyoncé in an announcement on Twitter. 

“Yes it's true. I am collaborating with on a new project. herself. More details Sept. 6. ,” the trans activist wrote.

The pair first met at the Grammy Awards in LA earlier this year where they professed their mutual admiration for one another.

“I was like, ‘I love you,’ and she’s like, ‘I know you do . . . I love you, too,’” Cox told .

“And she’s like ‘Your Lip Sync Battle was amazing,’—she had seen I did Destiny’s Child.”

Cox hasn’t spilled any details about their upcoming project but did speak to Access Hollywood’s Kit Hoover about working with her idol.

“So, I have no idea, to be perfectly honest,” Cox replied when asked how the opportunity arose.

“I’m like, ‘Does she pick out, like, her biggest fans ever and let them work with her?”

She added that being in Beyonce’s presence is a transcendent experience saying, “I felt a sense of calm come over me.”
