Laverne Cox opens up about finding love

Actress, singer, and activist Laverne Cox has opened up about meeting her boyfriend on Tinder.

Speaking to , Cox, 45, admitted that she had previously struggled to navigate the dating scene as a trans woman - but that her partner of 9-months is a keeper.
“For most of us it’s really hard. It’s been hard for me dating while trans," she said, admitting that she was close to deleting her dating apps. "But there is hope!”

She continued: “I’m in love. He’s amazing on so many different levels, I’ve never experienced that before."

“It’s really dumb luck that we met and clicked,” she said.

“I like to be in the moment and not think the future, and [right now] I’m very grateful that I get to experience this,” she added, saying that even her mother loves him.
“It’s so deeply connecting. It’s just a full spiritual experience. I’ve never felt a man as all-in as he is.”

“Laughter is huge,” Cox said, revealing that the couple started chatting online when her now-boyfriend sent Cox a meme.
