It's been another historic day for LGBT+ rights in Australia with Senator Dean Smith's same-sex marriage bill passing the Senate with 43 votes to 12.

Although the bill still needs to be sent to the House of Representatives (which is frustratingly not in session this week) LGBT+ Australians are rejoicing that the legalisation of same-sex marriage is just around the corner.
The bill will pass to the Lower House next week for the final vote before same-sex couples can finally begin walking down the aisle.
