President-elect Joe Biden's has been garnering a lot of attention for being the first of its kind in US history, but it's the stories of the women making up the senior team that has set social media alight.
This included Indian-American Neera Tanden who has been announced as Biden's pick for Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), an influential agency which works to advise on and produce the presidential budget. She will be the to hold the position.
On Twitter, Ms Tanden reflected on her journey relying on "public food and housing programs to get by," to now holding a senior position in the White House.
While Ms Tanden has received from a number of Republicans, many on social media offered their congratulations to her on getting the role.
And there was no discounting what Tanden has achieved as a South Asian and a woman of colour.
