Priyanka Chopra's big fat desi wedding to Nick Jonas has captivated social media, with each bling-filled celebration a perfect mash-up of the couple's blend of east and west, modern and traditional.

Chopra, 36, stunned in new pictures released of the Saturday western wedding ceremony, in a long-sleeve high necked Ralph Lauren white wedding gown featuring a 75-foot long tulle veil. She subverted tradition, walking down the aisle accompanied by her mother, Madhu.
The western ceremony  was followed by the Hindu ceremony on Sunday, in which Priyanka wore a traditional red lehenga and bodice.
The couple rocked the intercultural wedding in style, with the dual ceremonies a culmination of a extravaganza at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.
Festivities in the lead up to the wedding, included the Mehndi, where the bride is adorned in henna, the Sangeet dance off, , and a ritual Haldi ceremony where the couple is doused in turmeric paste to beautify their skin.
“I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up,” Chopra told magazine.

“We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalised them in a way that made sense for us. It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way."

“The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, I think especially during the Western wedding for me,” said Jonas, 26, whose pastor father Kevin officiated Saturday’s ceremony.
