Embattled actor and comedian Roseanne Barr has claimed to be queer in a bizarre clip shared online.

According to , in a since-deleted YouTube video Barr appeared to conflate being queer with being a social misfit, self-identifying with the term and criticising LGBTIQ+ people for using anti-gay slurs within the community.

“Man, the word ‘f*g’ is a really hateful word, isn’t it?" She stated at the start of the video.

"Especially when it’s when it’s like one gay calling another gay guy that? Have you ever been in the middle of one of them hate marriages? It’s like, wait a minute, we’re not supposed to say that word. How come you’re saying that word? What?"
She continued: “Oh, I just can’t say that word. Well, I can when I’m in the house, but I can’t say it outside the house. Okay, I get your rules. But it is a hateful word and we should get rid of it. Get rid of it being spoken.

“All that LGBTIQ+ stuff, okay let me just be real, I put the Q in the LGBTQ. Okay, because I am queer as two motherf**kers. I’m queer, I’m alien, I don’t belong here with all these people. They makes no sense. They are very queer. That makes me queer, I guess. But I did put the Q in it. Bye!”

Barr was fired from the reboot of her popular sitcom in 2018 to one of the actor's tweets.
