Singer-songwriter Teddy Geiger and Schitt's Creek actor Emily Hampshire have announced their engagement, sharing the good news on social media.

The happy couple first went public with their relationship in August of this year.

“I love this woman so much she treats me like a lil princess and makes me laugh harder than anyone,” Geiger, who writes for stars including Shawn Mendez, wrote in the first of several posts on Instagram.

She added: “I am so f**king happy to wake up next to her every morning and fall asleep next to her every night and take care of our lil B.B. stumbs together. Which is why when she asked me if I wanted to spend the rest of our lives together I said YES YES YES INFINITE YES.”
Hampshire, 37, shared a photo of her own, saying that she felt like “the luckiest girl in the world”.

Geiger, 30, who is known for hit tracks including 'For You I Will (Confidence)', re-entered the spotlight late last year after coming out as trans.

Her new album LillyAnna was released last week.
