It seems the revival of Will and Grace has struck a chord with a new generation of viewers, with NBC announcing that the popular sitcom has been renewed for third 18-episode season. Not only that, but the show's second season, which was , has also been bumped up from a 13 episode order to 18 episodes.

With the successful reunion of the show's original cast - Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes, and Megan Mullally - the revival season has already attracted a list of famous guest-appearances, including Jennifer Lopez and Alec Baldwin.
The show's original run began 20 years ago in 1998.
Chairman of NBC Entertainment, Robert Greenblatt, said: “As far as I’m concerned, we can’t get enough of Will and Grace and 23 more episodes is music to my ears."

He continued: “We’re eternally grateful that Debra, Eric, Sean, and Megan feel the same way and wanted to keep this good thing going. I’m overwhelmed by the euphoric response the new show has received from the press and the audience, and my hat is off to the unrivalled writing team of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, as well as the brilliant directing of Jimmy Burrows, for consistently delivering one of the best shows on television.”
The announcement was made earlier this week by Eric McCormack during a cast and crew panel discussion at PaleyFest in Los Angeles.
