A married lesbian couple in the United States has decided that revenge is a dish best served rainbow.

Having allegedly endured years of homophobic slurs from their next-door neighbour, the couple recently decided to paint their dividing fence rainbow - and now they're looking to give their entire home a pride makeover.

The couple, Lisa Licata and Sherry Lau, told that when they moved to the area five years ago they initially pretended to be mother and daughter in hopes of avoiding conflict.

However, when it was eventually revealed that they were romantically involved, their neighbour began calling them “homos” and “dykes.”
“It seemed to change when they found out I’m married to a woman and I’m gay,” Lau said.

Licata, added: “When he protested against the fence being rainbow, that’s when we decided let’s do the house."

The couple also claim that the neighbour shot their pet dog with a pellet gun.

“This is the 21st century, you know,” Lau said.

“We live here, we’re not moving. My family accepts us, our friends accept us. If you don’t like it, just live your life, leave us alone and everything’s cool.”

“I don’t want to be friends,” Licata reiterated.

“I just want to be left alone. I just want it to stop.”
