Earlier this week the first trailer dropped for Captain Marvel and, well, members of the LGBTIQ+ community were 100% here for it.

Starring Brie Larson, Captain Marvel is the first female superhero to receive her own movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Despite a small number of men suggesting the character should , the response to Oscar-winner Larson's first turn as a superhero has been overwhelmingly positive - and, er, quite gay.
The film also stars Jude Law, Lee Pace, and Samuel L. Jackson - but if the excitement of superhero fans on social media is any indication, Larson will be the one pulling crowds.

Disney will release Captain Marvel in early March 2019.
