Since 2018's historic 40th anniversary of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, there's rightly been a strong emphasis on the LGBTIQ+ community's long and challenging history. From interviews with original 78ers to the Mardi Gras' wonderful exhibition , younger members of the community have been encouraged to engage with retrospectives in a way they mightn't have previously.
