YouTube star Eugene Lee Yang comes out as gay

Popular YouTube personality Eugene Lee Yang has come out as gay, sharing an emotive dance performance on the streaming platform.

Yang, best known for being part of took to Twitter to explain his decision to come out, and why he chose to make a music video to share the news.

“I created this music video as my personal way of coming out as a proud gay man who has many unheard, specific stories to tell," he wrote.

“I withheld because of fear and shame shaped by my background but I promise to give my full truth in the rest of my life’s work."
Yang continued: “Coming out is a lifelong process – your safety always comes first – but know that there’s a vibrant community waiting to welcome you with open arms.”

He also joked: “You can turn off Find My Friends because I will be at the gay bars.”
